Brazil Mate green
Tea-like drink made from the green leaves of a Brazilian holly tree. Unusually smoky and spicy taste with typical tartness, caffeinated:
The traditional preparation of mate tea can be a wonderful way to slow down in everyday life. The South Americans drank their mate from hollowed-out gourds, so-called calabashes. Even today, bulbous bowls made from pumpkin or wood are still used.
An important accessory for mate is the bombilla, a sieve drinking tube. With mate tea, the tea leaves remain in the drink, as several infusions are prepared. With the bombilla, the mate can be drunk without the tea leaves affecting the enjoyment.
The mate cup is filled about halfway with leaves and infused with warm water. It should infuse for about two minutes.
Some people don't like the bitter taste of the first infusion and throw it away before making the second and third infusions.
Unlike green tea, Brazil mate green does not become bitter after a long infusion.

I have been a coffee drinker for years and I drink at least 4 cups a day.
I've been drinking Brazil Mate Green Tea for 3 days now and haven't even had the urge for 1 cup of coffee.
I was more than thrilled with the taste
It is now a fixed part of my morning routine
I have been enjoying Tea & CO's Brazilian mate tea as an alternative to coffee in the morning for almost a decade. Unlike coffee, I feel pleasantly energized after drinking this tea without feeling restless. I can highly recommend it!
