Rooibos White Chocolate Olive
Chocolate and olive? That can't be right, can it?
You have read correctly, this is a new combination in our tea range.
The base is rooibos tea, which is incredibly soft and smooth with a natural sweetness and a slightly nutty flavor. The olive leaves taste pleasantly fresh, with a nutty-bitter note. The white chocolate, which melts when poured hot, rounds off the Rooibos White Chocolate Olive perfectly and adds a little extra sweetness. Nothing stops you from drinking this unique arrangement in the evening, as Rooibos contains no caffeine.
Ingredients: Rooibos, olive leaves (15%), white chocolate pieces (sugar, cocoa butter, whole milk powder, emulsifier: lecithin) (10%), flavoring, cocoa shells, toffee crunch (sugar, glucose syrup, water, butter (milk), cream (milk), salt, raising agent: sodium bicarbonate), safflower flowers
Our other recommendation: Rooibos caramel
Interesting facts about rooibos:
In South Africa, rooibos tea has been used to make tea for at least 300 years. As rooibos tea does not come from the camellia sinensis tea plant, it is not a real tea in the classic sense, but a herbal tea. In fact, the plant is actually a legume. It can grow up to two meters high and has rod-like branches with small, thin twigs and fine, needle-like leaves. The leaves are harvested to make tea. During processing, the leaves are crushed, bruised, moistened, oxidized and sun-dried. Green rooibos is now also popular. Just like real green tea, green rooibos is also unoxidized. As South Africa's national drink, the tea is ubiquitous.
